Gurugram, Aug 15 (NationPress) Residents of Signature Global Park, located in Sector-37, organized a protest on Friday against what they termed the builder’s unfair practices and failure to honor the promises made during the sale process.
The residents assert that the builder had guaranteed them access to a 24-meter-wide road, high-grade construction quality, and adequate maintenance services. Yet, they contend that none of these commitments have been met.
Despite investing crores of rupees, the 1,300 families residing there are experiencing significant hardships due to the absence of basic amenities and proper access routes to their community.
Many residents voiced their worries that their children are facing challenges commuting to and from school, creating an undesirable situation for families.
A resident named Monica shared with the media that there are inadequate safety measures for women, lack of maintenance services, and poor road connectivity.
Ashutosh Ojha, a resident of J-56 on the third floor, emphasized that connectivity is a major problem since taxi services like Ola and Uber refuse to serve the area. "Getting out in an emergency is very difficult," he remarked.
Another resident expressed discontent with the construction quality, claiming it falls short compared to small local builders.
This resident stated that although he had paid Rs 1 lakh upfront for maintenance, when he sought assistance on Saturday, maintenance workers informed him they were on strike due to unpaid wages.
Residents conveyed that they had invested their hard-earned money with the expectation that a reputable brand would provide them a better living environment. Instead, they feel betrayed and powerless.
The locals vowed to continue advocating against the builder's alleged negligence and arbitrary actions. Furthermore, they have urged the administration to take immediate action against the builder and ensure they receive the facilities they are entitled to.
