Rijiju Warns of Serious Implications from Sonia's Alleged Ties to Soros-Funded Organization, BJP Condemns Congress for Supporting Anti-India Elements

New Delhi, Dec 9 (NationPress) The BJP unleashed a sharp critique on former Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday, alleging that she is acting against India's interests after claims emerged about her connections to an organization supported by the George Soros Foundation.
In a sequence of updates shared on X, the BJP contended that Sonia Gandhi, in her capacity as Co-President of the FDL-AP Foundation, is affiliated with a group that is funded by the George Soros Foundation. This organization is recognized as an anti-India entity based in the United States, which has advocated for the notion of Kashmir as an independent nation.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju characterized these allegations as serious and emphasized the need for a collective response against foreign entities purportedly plotting against India.
While speaking to the press, Rijiju stated, "This matter should not be interpreted through a political lens. If any Indian is engaging with foreign entities that oppose India, it is a grave issue that necessitates attention. The involvement of George Soros and the purported connections of Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi transcend Congress; they touch upon India's sovereignty."
"Given India's remarkable progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we must unite against foreign forces working to undermine it. I call upon Congress to join us in this fight against such foreign influences," he further added.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh accused Congress leaders, specifically the Gandhis, of betraying the nation.
"Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are guilty of treason. Together with George Soros, they are trying to sway India with anti-national schemes. They must be held accountable for this. The 'tukde-tukde' gang, which is dedicated to dividing India, has Rahul Gandhi as its leader," he declared.
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma also reproached Congress, alleging it of fabricating false narratives to mislead the populace.
"Congress has a track record of creating misleading narratives about tribal regions, inciting provocative content against various societal groups. This indicates a clear link to urban Naxal ideologies. Rahul Gandhi's recent assertion about the Constitution being in peril is yet another unfounded narrative crafted abroad and disseminated via foreign media and social media channels," he told IANS.
Sharma further claimed that such narratives are often orchestrated to align with elections, significant events, or parliamentary meetings.
"These foreign agencies emerge with sensational allegations in their publications and social media. Subsequently, certain Indian leaders adopt these narratives to tarnish the government's reputation. Their objective is to mislead the public when they fail to gain traction," he explained.
In reference to Congress' recent electoral setbacks, Sharma remarked, "Congress' losses in Haryana and Maharashtra have left them devastated. Their alliance, formed with the intent to deceive voters and seize power, is crumbling. The public now views this 'thugbandhan' as a betrayal."
