Patna, Jan 12 (NationPress) Renowned Bhojpuri artist and youth icon Ritesh Pandey, who previously contested the Kargahar Assembly seat under the banner of the Jan Suraaj Party, stirred up Bihar's political landscape on Monday with his announcement of leaving the party.

Pandey made an emotional declaration on his official social media platform, detailing his motivations for stepping back from active politics.

In his post on X, Pandey expressed that he joined the Jan Suraaj Party as a conscientious citizen eager to partake in the “great festival of democracy”.

He acknowledged that despite the election results not being favorable, he had no regrets, having fulfilled his duties with integrity and commitment.

Describing his political journey as a valuable learning experience, he emphasized that the love and trust he received from the public during the campaign would always remain his greatest asset.

Justifying his resignation, Pandey expressed a desire to continue serving the community through the art that earned him recognition and respect.

Coming from a modest farming background, he remarked that it was the people's affection and blessings that guided his path.

He noted that it had become challenging to engage in public service with full transparency while being an active party member.

"Hence, I have chosen to resign from the Jan Suraaj Party," he stated.

Pandey's resignation arrives amid ongoing discussions in Bihar regarding alternative political movements and new political strategies.

His foray into politics and participation in the recent Bihar Assembly elections was perceived as a significant step, particularly due to his strong appeal among the youth and rural electorate.
