Rozgar Mela: PM Modi Awards 71,000 Appointment Letters to New Recruits

New Delhi, Dec 23 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi awarded more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed individuals via video conferencing on Monday.

This event was part of the Centre's Rozgar Mela initiative, designed to empower the youth through job creation and encourage active participation in nation-building.

While addressing the audience, PM Modi congratulated the recruits and their families, stating, "I met Indian youth and professionals in Kuwait, and now I am engaging with the youngsters of our nation. Today signifies a new chapter in your journey. Your years of perseverance have finally paid off."

He highlighted the government's accomplishments in harnessing India's youth potential, remarking, "Through Rozgar Mela, we are pushing this initiative forward. For over the last ten years, our campaign to provide jobs in government sectors, ministries, and organizations has been ongoing. Today, more than 71,000 youth have received their appointment letters."

Emphasizing the transparent recruitment process, he noted, "In the past decade, our government has granted permanent government jobs to over 10 lakh youth, a remarkable milestone. Unlike past administrations, today, not only are thousands of youth being appointed to government positions, but these selections are being made with complete transparency. I am confident that the youth chosen through this process will wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to serving the nation."

Reaffirming the Centre's commitment to the vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047', PM Modi attributed the nation's development to the youthful workforce's dedication, talent, and leadership.

He cited initiatives like Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Startup India, and Digital India as examples of policies driven by young innovators.

"Today, India ranks as the fifth-largest economy in the world and boasts the third-largest startup ecosystem. Young entrepreneurs launching startups now have access to a well-structured support ecosystem. In sports, modern training and tournament facilities foster confidence among our young athletes. We are witnessing remarkable transformations across various sectors," he stated.

The Prime Minister also emphasized India's strides in manufacturing, renewable energy, tourism, space exploration, organic farming, defense, and wellness. He commended the advancements introduced by the National Education Policy (NEP), Atal Tinkering Labs, and PM Shri Schools, which serve to benefit rural and underprivileged students.

Invoking Chaudhary Charan Singh's legacy on 'Kisan Diwas', PM Modi underscored the Centre's initiatives for rural development and farmer welfare.

He referenced employment-oriented schemes like Bima Suraksha, Lakhpati Didi, and Drone Didi, all aimed at empowering rural communities and farmers.

He also praised the involvement of women in the Rozgar Mela, saying, "Today, numerous women have received their appointment letters. I hope they become an inspiration for others. Initiatives like Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana, Jan Dhan Bank accounts, and Mudra Yojana enable women to pursue education without financial burdens."

The Prime Minister also mentioned that under the PM Awas Yojana, a majority of houses are registered in women's names.

The Rozgar Mela is being conducted at 45 locations nationwide, with recruitment occurring across various ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Department of Financial Services.

A government release stated that the Rozgar Mela aligns with the Prime Minister's dedication to job creation, providing significant opportunities for youth to contribute to national development and self-empowerment.
