This collaboration sets up a formal structure in which RRU, recognized as an Institution of National Importance, will offer academic accreditation to various training programs run by the SSB Academy.

The signing ceremony occurred at the SSB headquarters in Delhi, with notable attendees including Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro-Vice Chancellor of RRU; Avinash Kharel, Dean of Affiliation and Accreditation at RRU; and Sanjay Singhal, Director General (DG) of the SSB, alongside other officials.

According to the agreement, both institutions have pledged to engage in a comprehensive resource exchange, encompassing faculty expertise, educational tools, and specialized training facilities, as stated in the announcement.

The goal of this partnership is to close the gap between academic research on national security and the practical needs of border security forces.

During the event, Wandra emphasized the immediate outcomes of this collaboration, mentioning that RRU has recently conducted a specialized course on "Smart Border Management" for SSB officials.

To maintain high standards in professional development, RRU will offer SSB personnel hands-on training using its advanced laboratories and field-based workshops.

This initiative is anticipated to modernize the SSB training curriculum with a focus on technology-driven approaches to address border surveillance and internal security challenges.

Singhal, the SSB DG, expressed confidence in RRU's ability to provide the essential educational infrastructure for the force.

He underscored that the partnership will prioritize the "upskilling and re-skilling" of officials to meet the changing demands of border management and internal security.

By harnessing the talent of both institutions, the initiative aspires to create a solid framework for ongoing professional development within the Sashastra Seema Bal.
