RSS Leader's 10-Day Journey to Bengal Scheduled for February

Kolkata, Jan 10 (NationPress) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat will kick off a 10-day visit to West Bengal next month, where he will conduct meetings with Sangh functionaries throughout the duration, according to sources.
Accompanying him will be eight other RSS officials, including the RSS Sarkaryawah or General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.
Sources indicate that this marks the first occasion where such a significant group of high-ranking RSS officials will be present in the state simultaneously, highlighting the importance West Bengal holds for the Sangh authorities in light of the impending state Assembly elections next year.
The visit is scheduled to commence on February 9 and conclude on February 16.
For the initial three days, Mohan Bhagwat and the other prominent RSS leaders will engage in multiple meetings centered on the Sangh's activities across various districts in the southern region of West Bengal.
On February 11, Mohan Bhagwat and the national RSS officials will travel to Burdwan in the East Burdwan district of West Bengal.
There, they will hold a series of discussions focusing on districts situated in central Bengal.
During the Burdwan session, Bhagwat is anticipated to emphasize the RSS's initiatives in the tribal-dominated areas within various central Bengal districts.
On February 16, the RSS Chief will address a public rally in Burdwan, marking the culmination of the 10-day tour.
Officially, the RSS describes the upcoming visit as a routine organizational tour.
However, political analysts believe that this visit is of significant importance, especially against the backdrop of the ongoing political turmoil affecting the minority Hindu community in neighboring Bangladesh, the repercussions of which resonate in West Bengal, which shares the longest international border with the South Asian nation.
