Upon arriving in Patna on Wednesday, Bhagwat paid a visit to the family of the late Shriprakash Narayan Singh, a former head of the RSS department.
His itinerary includes a stay in Muzaffarpur from March 7-9, before heading back to Nagpur on March 9. This visit is particularly historic, as Bhagwat will address an event for the first time near the India-Nepal border in Veerpur, Supaul.
Given the enhanced security measures in place, this visit is of great importance to the region.
On Thursday, Bhagwat will convene a meeting with RSS volunteers before returning to Muzaffarpur in the evening.
The initiative aims to enhance outreach and promote nation-building efforts in border territories, focusing on education and cultural nationalism via Vidya Bharati schools.
This visit is perceived as a strategic effort by the RSS to strengthen its presence in Bihar ahead of the upcoming 2025 Assembly Elections. With the political climate intensifying, Bhagwat’s trip is viewed as a calculated move to rally support in Bihar.
