Patna, March 7 (NationPress) The Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat, spoke to an assembly in Bihar's Supaul district, asserting that the era of misfortune is nearing its end, but substantial efforts are required for meaningful change.

He inaugurated a new facility for Saraswati Vidya Bharti, an educational institution located near the India-Nepal border, highlighting the significance of education grounded in culture.

Bhagwat nostalgically remembered his tenure as a 'Kshetra Pracharak' (Regional Campaigner) in Bihar, spanning six years.

He likened his visit to the state's Chhath festival, expressing, "For me, today is akin to Chhath, where I experience a deep connection to Bihar."

The RSS Chief praised the 21,000 schools operated by Vidya Bharati, an RSS-affiliated educational organization globally.

He encouraged parents to enroll their children in these schools, aiming to instill robust cultural and moral values.

Bhagwat mentioned that the United Nations Organisation (UNO) has recognized Vidya Bharati as part of the '20 Million Club' due to its influence on over 20 million lives worldwide.

He highlighted that, in Indian tradition, education transcends monetary value and is regarded as a means for knowledge and enlightenment.

"Vidya Bharati's mission goes beyond education; it seeks to cultivate cultured, self-reliant, and patriotic citizens," he stated.

Quoting from the Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita, the RSS Chief underscored that determination and hard work are pivotal for success.

He referenced the tale of King Bhagirath, who brought the River Ganga to Earth through his 'tapasya' (penance), as a testament to persistent effort.

Due to the high-profile nature of the event, district police ensured stringent security measures on the Raghopur-Veerpur NH-106 and at the event site, screening every visitor with metal detectors prior to entry.

Bhagwat's address mirrors the RSS's vision of fortifying cultural values through education. His visit also indicates the organization's rising influence in Bihar, especially with impending political events.

The RSS Chief arrived in Patna on Wednesday evening and will remain until March 9. For the subsequent three days, he will be in Muzaffarpur, engaging with RSS workers and imparting knowledge.

"Mohan Bhagwat's visit to Veerpur is a tremendous blessing for us. His presence will motivate the region and disseminate the message of education and nationalism," remarked Khayali Ram, organisation minister of Vidya Bharati, Bihar.

"Events like this in border regions will convey a robust message of nation-building. He will convene meetings with RSS workers in Muzaffarpur during his visit and return to Nagpur on March 9," stated Abhishek Kumar, RSS Prachar Pramukh, Bihar.
