Patna, March 24 (NationPress) The head of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani took part in a Dawat-e-Iftar event hosted by his party at Dumri Jaimal in Paru block, Muzaffarpur, on Monday.

The event witnessed a substantial gathering of worshippers, along with party officials and members who united to pray for the peace, happiness, and prosperity of Bihar.

Notable attendees included Osama, the son of former MP Shahabuddin, who came to join the prayers for the state's well-being.

Speaking to the press, Mukesh Sahani underscored the significance of social harmony during the sacred month of Ramazan.

He remarked that this month symbolizes not only religious commitment but also the promotion of brotherhood and unity among individuals of various castes and religions.

"This holy month instructs us to demonstrate to the world our unity beyond caste or religion. It is also a moment to challenge those who incite hatred — their politics will not endure. Just like rain is temporary, we must persevere by shielding ourselves and continuing our endeavors," Sahani stated.

Sahani subtly criticized individuals involved in divisive politics, indicating that their attempts to foster hatred would be fleeting.

"Our ancestors fought for freedom together. This nation belongs to all, and we must safeguard that spirit. Though some may attempt to divide us, their influence is limited," he added.

Additionally, Sahani used the event to garner support in anticipation of the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, encouraging the public to prepare for the upcoming “big battle”.

"In 2020, VIP candidates contested in this area, yet some chose a different course, betraying the trust of the people. This time, we must remain steadfast and uphold social harmony to reach our objectives," Sahani remarked.

The VIP leader highlighted that the spirit of the holy month is to unite and assist one another, particularly in challenging times.

He urged the community to collaborate to construct a better Bihar. As the political arena in the state intensifies, such gatherings illustrate an effort by political figures to engage with the public and reinforce messages of unity.
