Patna, March 10 (NationPress) The Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) commenced its two-day state and national executive session in Valmikinagar, West Champaran, on Monday. The party's founder and former minister, Mukesh Sahani, affectionately known as ‘Son of Mallah’, opened the event by lighting a lamp.
Sahani paid tribute to Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Shaheed Jubba Sahani, and Late Phoolan Devi. He reiterated his dedication to their vision of empowering marginalised communities.
While addressing the attendees, Sahani stated: “Our organisation is becoming increasingly robust, but this election year is pivotal. The forthcoming election transcends VIP; it concerns the future of Bihar. Our party’s fundamental principle has always been the welfare of the impoverished. We must integrate those on the fringes into the mainstream and adapt to the evolving political environment to effectively compete with other parties.”
Mukesh Sahani presented the party’s strategy for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections during the ongoing two-day state and national executive meeting in Valmikinagar and encouraged leaders and members to share their insights on the upcoming political contest.
Final discussions are set to take place in Tuesday’s meeting, culminating in a unanimous resolution. Acknowledging that errors can occur, Sahani implored party members to look forward, engage with renewed vigor, and maintain focus on their objectives.
“The 2025 Bihar Assembly election is a crucial test for us,” he remarked.
Reiterating that VIP represents the interests of the underprivileged and backward communities, Sahani highlighted the necessity for organisational strength and political flexibility.
As Bihar’s political dynamics shift in anticipation of the 2025 elections, Mukesh Sahani is positioning VIP as an essential contender in the fight for social justice and the rights of marginalised communities.
In the 2020 Assembly election, VIP secured four seats in Bihar, three of which later aligned with the BJP. Another BJP MLA passed away mid-term.
Mukesh Sahani himself ran in the Assembly elections but faced defeat. Nonetheless, he was appointed the minister of animal husbandry and fisheries in the Nitish Kumar government and served as an MLC under the BJP quota.
