Patna, Aug 8 (NationPress) Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) National President, Mukesh Sahani, stated on Friday that there is “no purpose in conducting elections if votes are compromised,” highlighting the wastage of taxpayer money when the electoral integrity is at stake.
Speaking to the media in Patna after participating in an INDIA Bloc meeting in New Delhi, Sahani emphasized that the main focus of the gathering was to “defend the Constitution against efforts to manipulate votes” through the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision.
“Dr. B.R. Ambedkar granted the electorate the authority to select their government for five years, but if votes are being compromised, what’s the purpose of holding elections? If we are to dismantle democracy, let it be stated clearly and rule like Hitler,” Sahani asserted.
He claimed that Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, had disclosed that a single voter’s name appears in several state voter lists without adequate address verification, labeling it as the BJP’s “hidden strategy to win elections through the Election Commission.”
Sahani announced that VIP members will be stationed at every polling booth across Bihar to oversee the electoral process.
Additionally, he proclaimed the initiation of a ‘Vote Bachao Adhikar Yatra’ commencing on August 17, which will culminate in Patna on September 1.
During this Yatra, notable figures from the INDIA Bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi, Rajesh Ram, and others, will take part.
Commenting on Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Punauradham, Sitamarhi, Sahani challenged his silence regarding the reported mistreatment of Sitamarhi women in Maharashtra for communicating in Hindi.
“The BJP governs Maharashtra. What measures have been taken against those who discriminate based on language? Amit Shah has not addressed these incidents, yet he visits Bihar seeking votes. He shows no real concern for Bihar or its people; he merely wants their votes,” Sahani remarked.
