In a message shared via the party's official X account, the RJD stated, "Public service is an ongoing journey, filled with both triumphs and challenges. There’s no shame in losing, nor pride in winning. The Rashtriya Janata Dal remains the voice of the underprivileged and will steadfastly continue to uplift their concerns."
During a press briefing, Mukesh Sahani, leader of the Grand Alliance member Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), acknowledged and respected the electoral verdict.
Sahani congratulated the NDA on their victory, noting that the results were surprising, as the ground realities had suggested a different outcome.
He mentioned that his party would analyze the results and aim to reconnect with the electorate with renewed vigor.
Sahani emphasized that the mandate reflected strong support for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Highlighting the government's financial aid of Rs 10,000 to women, he suggested it significantly influenced voter opinions.
Sahani expressed optimism that the NDA would honor the commitments made during their campaign.
Currently, the mood within the RJD is one of disappointment following a severe electoral loss.
The BJP secured 89 seats, JD(U) achieved 85, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) gained 19, HAM (S) five, and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party earned four. The RJD suffered a drastic reduction to just 25 seats, with Congress winning six, AIMIM five, CPI(ML)(L) two, and BSP, Indian Inclusive Party, and CPI(M) one each.
Regarding the NDA's success and the performance of LJP(RV) in the Bihar elections, Union Minister Chirag Paswan's mother, Reena Paswan, expressed her joy over the NDA's victory, stating, "We are thrilled with the NDA's success, which was anticipated... Every candidate and Chirag put in tremendous effort... My blessings are always with my son."
