Srinagar, Oct 2 (NationPress) Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Legislator and President of the Peoples Conference (PC), Sajad Lone, on Thursday accused Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of generating confusion regarding the appointment of his advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani, and subsequently blaming others for the misunderstanding.
Sajad Lone expressed his views on the social media platform X, stating, “CM sahib claims that misleading reports about his advisor's appointment are being circulated. However, isn’t it CM sahib who initiated this confusion and essentially wrote the misleading narratives during a conversation with an NC Halqa President on a talk show?
“Is this also a Markaz ki chaal? Or is it the strategy of CM sahib? Perhaps there is another conspiracy at play?
“This government is redefining hilarity. While they struggle with governance, they excel in Clownery.”
The confusion stemmed from Chief Minister Abdullah's remarks indicating that his administration was encountering several challenges in fulfilling commitments to the residents of the Union Territory.
Chief Minister Abdullah further mentioned that the appointment of his advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani, has yet to receive the approval of the Lieutenant Governor and that Wani is currently serving in an advisory capacity voluntarily and without any compensation.
Subsequent reports suggested that the chief minister's advisor was operating without official confirmation from the Lieutenant Governor.
Eventually, the Union Territory government reaffirmed the order approved by Chief Minister Abdullah, which officially appointed Nasir Aslam Wani as his advisor.
Sajad Lone attributes this ongoing confusion to the chief minister, while the chief minister blames it on ‘misleading reports’.
It is worth noting that Nasir Aslam Wani has been serving as the Chief Minister’s advisor since the elected government took office in October 2024, addressing the grievances of the residents and consistently working to resolve those issues.
