Patna, Nov 28 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary, has unveiled a comprehensive action strategy aimed at tackling the escalating crime rates within the state.
During a public gathering in Patna, Choudhary asserted that the government is fully equipped to combat criminal factions and promised visible results from the operation in the coming days.
He delivered a firm warning directed at what he classified as three distinct groups of mafia, namely, the liquor mafia, sand mafia, and land mafia.
“These three types of mafia will face severe consequences under any circumstances,” Choudhary proclaimed.
He mentioned that 400 individuals engaged in criminal activities have been pinpointed and will be apprehended shortly.
Additionally, another 1,200 criminals have been documented and will also be incarcerated.
Choudhary announced that the government plans to install CCTV cameras throughout Bihar and create an extensive surveillance framework to deter criminal behavior.
“No criminal will evade the watch of these cameras. We will dismantle the liquor, sand, and land mafia following court directives. Every identified individual will be incarcerated,” he stated.
He reaffirmed that the state administration is dedicated to curbing crime and ensuring the safety of its residents.
Samrat Choudhary emphasized that his focus would be on enhancing and broadening the effective governance model initiated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Highlighting the necessity for stringent surveillance around educational institutions, he noted that police will monitor individuals exhibiting harassment or 'Romeo-like' conduct near schools and colleges.
A specialized force will be deployed, and targeted operations will be executed during school hours to preempt any molestation incidents.
Previously, Bihar's Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar, informed the media that to combat criminal proceeds, a complete dossier of 400 individuals has been prepared and submitted to the court, which is currently assessing these cases.
