Hyderabad, July 7 (NationPress) A week has passed since the devastating fire and explosion at Sigachi Industries Limited’s manufacturing facility located in Pashamylaram, near Hyderabad, and efforts persist in locating eight missing workers.

Members of the Fire Services, SDRF, HYDRAA, and police continue their meticulous search for human remains.
The families of the missing workers are enduring a harrowing wait at the assistance center established for victims' families, now on its eighth day. They have urged officials to accelerate the debris removal process.
As of Sunday, the death toll from the fire and explosion has tragically risen to 42, with two of the injured succumbing to their injuries at a Patancheru hospital.
In a statement released on Sunday night, Sigachi Industries expressed sorrow over the loss of two additional team members since July 4, bringing the death count to 42.
Of the 33 injured workers, 14 have successfully recovered and been discharged from the hospital, while 18 are still receiving medical care in various facilities.
Among the 143 employees present during the incident, 61 have been confirmed safe, according to the company statement.

Authorities have completed the identification process for 38 bodies at the mortuary.
Officials are dispatching the bodies back to their homelands in ambulances, escorted by police. Each body is accompanied by two police constables.
