Hyderabad, July 8 (NationPress) The number of fatalities from the explosion at Sigachi Industries Ltd's facility in Pashamylaram, situated near Hyderabad, has tragically increased to 44, as two of the injured succumbed to their injuries on Tuesday.
Officials report that the two workers who passed away were receiving treatment at separate hospitals in the Sangareddy district.
Akhleshwar, one of the workers, died at Dhruva Hospital in Sangareddy, while Arif lost his life at Panacea Meridian Hospital near Beeramguda.
Over the past week, eight injured workers have tragically succumbed at various hospitals. Currently, sixteen workers are still receiving medical care.
The devastating explosion occurred on June 30 at Sigachi Industries' manufacturing plant located in Pashamylaram, Patancheru Mandal, Sangareddy district.
This plant is known for producing Microcrystalline Cellulose powder, which serves as a binding agent in tablets and capsules.
