Hyderabad, July 2 (NationPress) The search for 13 missing workers continues after a devastating blast at a pharmaceutical facility in Pashamyalaram, located near Hyderabad, on Wednesday.
Over 48 hours have passed since the explosion at Sigachi Industries Pvt. Ltd., which tragically resulted in the loss of 36 workers. Rescue teams remain actively engaged in clearing debris.
As per reports, the 13 missing workers are feared to be trapped beneath the rubble of a three-story building that collapsed due to the blast's force.
Search operations are utilizing large cranes and JCBs to remove debris from the industrial site in the Sangareddy district, approximately 50 km from Hyderabad.
Heavy rainfall on Tuesday night obstructed rescue efforts, but teams resumed their work early Wednesday.
Personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), and local police are coordinating the search.
The explosion occurred on Monday morning while 143 individuals were present at the facility's Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) drying unit.
