Srinagar, May 24 (NationPress) The Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat convened a collaborative meeting on Saturday with officials from various agencies including Police, CRPF, ITBP, Traffic Police, Railways, and other security and intelligence organizations at the Police Control Room in Srinagar to assess security protocols for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra-2025.

At the start of the meeting, zonal IGsP presented an overview of the proposed security strategies for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025.

Officers from CAPF and other SFs provided updates, shared insights, and highlighted the critical need for seamless coordination among the various forces. During the discussions, DGP J&K issued directives for the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and underscored the necessity of proactive actions to mitigate risks and safeguard the yatris.

Additionally, he urged field officers to enhance their efforts in dismantling the terror ecosystem. The DGP instructed officers to strengthen security protocols and reduce potential threats by deploying Anti-Sabotage teams along the yatra routes,” the official remarked.

The DGP further called for improved surveillance and threat identification by leveraging advanced technology and real-time monitoring of both pilgrimage routes.

The session concluded with an agreement to ensure maximum preparedness and collaboration for the seamless and successful execution of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025.
