Patna, April 9 (NationPress) A tragic incident has occurred in Bihar's Madhubani and Begusarai districts, where seven individuals have tragically lost their lives due to lightning strikes amidst heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours, as reported by officials.
In Madhubani, three fatalities occurred in various locations on Wednesday morning. In the village of Alpura under the Andharathari block, 62-year-old Zakir and his 18-year-old daughter Ayesha were killed while attempting to cover their wheat stock with a tarpaulin during an unexpected downpour.
Another victim was Rekha Devi, the wife of Revan Mahato from Pipraulia village under the Jhanjharpur police station area, who was struck by lightning while near the fields.
In Begusarai, there were four deaths reported in different incidents. Thirteen-year-old Anshu Kumari, daughter of Ramkumar Sada from Manopur village under the Bhagwanpur police station, was killed by a lightning strike.
Additionally, in Bhagatpur village under the Ballia police station, 60-year-old Biral Paswan died while collecting straw in the fields, and his wife sustained serious injuries.
