This initiative is enabling people to not only launch their own enterprises but also realize their aspirations.

So far, around Rs 25 crore worth of loans have been distributed to nearly 600 beneficiaries in Shahdol. A key highlight of this scheme is that banks do not demand any collateral or property documentation. With a straightforward online application via the Jan Samarth portal and the submission of required documents, loans are approved within a week.

Pawan Gupta, a Shahdol resident and proprietor of a book depot, shared his experience as a scheme beneficiary:

“I secured a loan of Rs 15 lakh under the Mudra Yojana to expand my current business. I learned about the scheme through social media, newspapers, and friends. The application process was effortless, and I received all the necessary guidance at the bank. This is an outstanding initiative by the government, particularly for the underprivileged and middle class. I encourage more individuals throughout the nation to take advantage of this opportunity. I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing such a valuable scheme for all segments of society,” Gupta remarked to IANS.

R.K. Mishra, Chief Manager of the Central Bank, Regional Office, Shahdol, informed IANS: “To date, nearly 52 crore people have benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, with loan approvals reaching Rs 33 lakh crore nationwide. The process is incredibly straightforward, and the major benefit is the absence of a collateral requirement. Previously, banks demanded security such as mortgages, gold, fixed deposits, or LIC policies. Now, simply filling out an online form and providing documents is sufficient to secure loan approval within a week.”

He further elaborated that the scheme provides loans across various categories: 'Shishu' - loans up to Rs 50,000; 'Kishor' - loans exceeding 50,000 and up to 5 lakh; 'Tarun' - loans above 5 lakh and up to 10 lakh; and 'Tarun Plus' - loans exceeding 10 lakh and up to 20 lakh.
