Kochi, April 19 (NationPress) The controversial Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who had been on the run from law enforcement for three days, finally made his appearance at the North Ernakulam police station in Kerala on Saturday morning.

Police officials had issued a notice at Chacko’s residence on Friday, instructing him to report by 10:30 a.m. on Saturday; however, the actor showed up half an hour earlier.

Sources indicate that investigators have compiled a list of 32 questions for Chacko to address.

Additionally, authorities are seeking CCTV footage from six hotels in Kochi where he is believed to have stayed recently, along with his mobile call records from the last month.

The controversy erupted earlier this week when Chacko allegedly fled during a police raid linked to a suspected drug use case.

This issue gained traction after actress Vincy Aloshious accused him of misconduct during the filming of 'Soothravakyam' last year.

Initially, she did not name the actor but later identified Chacko as the individual who misbehaved, stating he spat a white powdery substance.

Aloshious had lodged a complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber, with the understanding that the accused's identity would remain confidential.

However, the Chamber’s general secretary, Saji Nandiyattu, later revealed Chacko’s name to the press, promising that action would be taken against him. Following this breach of trust, Aloshious expressed her disappointment and declared she would no longer assist in the proceedings.

On Friday, her father informed the authorities that the family was no longer interested in pursuing the case, asserting, "What occurred on the film set can be resolved within the film industry itself."

Interestingly, the families of both Chacko and Aloshious have known each other for quite some time. While evading police on Friday, Chacko also promoted Soothravakyam on social media, the film at the center of the controversy.

Raj Mohan, a former senior Kerala police official and NIA officer, noted that although Chacko evaded police earlier in the week, the investigation can continue since the question of limitation does not apply here.

Earlier this month, Chacko was also implicated by an arrested female drug peddler, who claimed to have supplied drugs to him and actor Sreenath Bhasi.

The woman and her accomplices are currently in judicial custody. Following her arrest, the Excise Department announced that notices would be served to both actors.
