Mumbai, Feb 11 (NationPress) The Shiv Sena ministers representing Raigad and Nashik did not attend the district annual plan meetings for the financial year 2025-26 on Tuesday, citing previous engagements. These meetings were led by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar at the Mantralaya.

On Monday, Ajit Pawar postponed the annual plan meetings for Raigad and Nashik for the financial year 2025-26, as both districts currently lack a guardian minister due to disputes within the ruling Mahayuti alliance. Consequently, these meetings were rescheduled for Tuesday.

In preparation for the upcoming state budget, Pawar has been conducting a series of meetings with various departments. He has also engaged with district administrations to review the annual plans for the forthcoming fiscal year. On Monday, the Finance Minister convened meetings for the Konkan and Nashik divisions; however, the meetings for Raigad and Nashik did not take place.

On Tuesday, the state's Women and Child Development Minister and NCP leader Aditi Tatkare was present at the meeting called by Pawar. However, Sena minister Bharat Gogawale, representing Raigad district, was absent. Gogawale mentioned that he had a prior commitment at Fort Raigad, where an event organized by Sambhaji Bhide, a Hindutva ideologue, was scheduled.

“Over 40,000 to 50,000 workers from his organization were expected to gather in Raigad, and I had notified the Chief Minister about this,” he explained.

Furthermore, Shiv Sena leader and School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse from Nashik district also missed the meeting chaired by Pawar, as he was fulfilling his prior commitments in Nashik.

The appointments of Aditi Tatkare of NCP and Girish Mahajan of BJP as guardian ministers for Raigad and Nashik districts, respectively, were suspended following strong objections from the Shiv Sena. Ministers Bharat Gogawale and Dada Bhuse had staked their claims for the positions of guardian ministers for their respective districts.

When questioned about the appointments of guardian ministers, Shiv Sena leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stated that the matter would be resolved shortly.
