Post-Election Strategy: Eknath Shinde Calls for Party Growth
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 8 (NationPress) Eknath Shinde, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and leader of the Shiv Sena, urged the party's MLAs, MPs, chief coordinators, co-coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators on Wednesday to connect with grassroots Shiv Sainiks, swiftly address public concerns, and actively support the party's development.
With elections now concluded, he emphasized the importance of party expansion.
Shinde cautioned office bearers that if their efforts are not evident, they risk losing their positions. He directed the appointment of booth-level agents (BLAs) for a comprehensive analysis of voter lists.
Recently, the Shiv Sena appointed new chief coordinators, divisional coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators. A significant online meeting was conducted today with these officials, attended by Shinde.
During this meeting, he urged ministers, MLAs, and MPs to prioritize their roles as party workers over their official titles.
Considering the restructuring of constituencies, Shinde outlined a plan to engage with leaders regarding upcoming local self-government, Assembly, and Lok Sabha elections.
He specifically stated that Lok Sabha coordinators must convene separate meetings for each Assembly segment in their jurisdiction and provide daily reports with photographs for his personal review.
In light of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign initiated by the Election Commission in the state, Shinde inquired from chief coordinators about the number of appointed block-level agents (BLAs), their constituency visits, and conducted meetings.
He issued a stern warning that those who do not submit work reports or fail to perform will face immediate removal from their roles.
Taking into account the division of constituencies, he instructed that each area should appoint two BLAs for a thorough examination of voter lists and hold daily meetings with them.
Shinde also stressed that every office bearer must work with renewed vigor in their respective regions to strengthen and enhance the party organization.
He instructed them to conduct constituency visits, hold meetings, meticulously review voter lists, appoint two BLAs for the SIR campaign, and direct Lok Sabha coordinators to arrange separate meetings for each Assembly segment.
