Patna, July 14 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded in Begusarai district of Bihar on Monday when two individuals were targeted by gunmen on motorcycles, resulting in the death of one and serious injuries to another, causing widespread panic in the vicinity.
The shooting took place near Bagha Gumti, falling under the jurisdiction of the Lohianagar police station. The deceased has been named as Amit Kumar, aged 30, son of the late Chhotu Mahato. The other victim, Prince Kumar, suffered a bullet wound to his back.
Witnesses reported that two unknown assailants on a motorcycle approached suddenly and began firing at the victims. Both were rushed to Begusarai Sadar Hospital, where doctors pronounced Amit Kumar dead upon arrival. Prince Kumar is currently receiving medical attention.
This violent act has escalated tensions in the area. Law enforcement arrived promptly and commenced an investigation.

The victims of that incident were identified as Pankaj Kumar, son of Rajkumar Paswan, and Ram Lagan Paswan, son of Rambilas Paswan. Both sustained severe gunshot injuries, and Ram Lagan reportedly suffered a blow to the head with a pistol butt during the confrontation.
The Vibhutipur police acted swiftly, initiating an investigation by documenting statements from the injured. However, the assailants remain unidentified, and a manhunt continues.
