The Chief Minister mentioned that he had personally reached out to Kannadigas stranded in Dubai due to the rising tensions between Israel and Iran, assuring them of the state's commitment to their safe return.
He instructed the Chief Secretary to maintain close coordination with officials from the External Affairs Ministry to keep tabs on the situation and facilitate the return of those affected.
Siddaramaiah expressed relief that Kannadigas in the Middle East have found refuge in safe locations, urging residents not to panic and reaffirming the government's dedication to ensuring the safe return of every stranded Kannadiga.
In response to inquiries about a potential hike in electricity tariffs in April, Siddaramaiah clarified that there are currently no such proposals before the state government.
