Patna, March 14 (NationPress) The journey of Siraj Ansari, from the Sheikhpura district of Bihar, exemplifies the transformative power of dedicated effort paired with governmental support, paving the way for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Despite being a graduate and previously employed in a private firm in Delhi, Siraj found himself unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially forced into laborious jobs to make ends meet, he has now successfully established a budding business, backed by government aid, which has become a source of inspiration for many in his community.

Numerous young individuals, in search of job opportunities, admire his accomplishments and aspire to follow his path.

Siraj leveraged the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), which aims to support potential entrepreneurs in launching new microenterprises through small loans.

After completing his education, Siraj relocated to Delhi and worked for nearly four years. However, the unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic compelled him to return to his hometown.

Struggling to find employment locally, he ventured into a small tent-house business. However, his earnings were insufficient to sustain his family.

During this challenging phase, he learned about the PMEGP scheme from a friend, who informed him about the provision of loans along with subsidies.

He reached out to the relevant department to take advantage of this initiative and successfully secured a loan of around ₹10 lakhs in the name of his wife, Yasmin Parveen.

With this financial backing, he set up a sizable tent house warehouse near the New Bus Stand in Sheikhpura city. Today, his venture is thriving; not only is it providing a better standard of living for his family, but it also employs eight individuals from the village.

In an interview with IANS, he expressed his gratitude towards the Prime Minister and commended the scheme for enabling youth to establish themselves in the realm of entrepreneurship.

He urged the younger generation to cease their job hunt and instead leverage government programs to initiate their own businesses and achieve self-sufficiency.
