Six Associates of Infamous Gangster Prince Khan Arrested in Jharkhand, Multiple Crimes Uncovered

Dhanbad, Dec 27 (NationPress) The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Jharkhand Police has successfully apprehended six associates of the infamous gangster Prince Khan, who operates a vast crime syndicate in the Dhanbad Coalfield region from Dubai, as reported by authorities on Friday.

During the operation, the police confiscated three pistols, 16 cartridges, a car, a bicycle, and seven mobile devices.

Prince Khan, recognized as one of Jharkhand’s most wanted criminals, has been eluding capture by living in Dubai for the last three years. Following a request from Jharkhand Police, Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against him. His passport has also been revoked. It is believed that Prince Khan escaped India utilizing a fraudulent passport under the name of Hyder Ali.

At a press conference on Friday, Dhanbad SSP Hrudeep P. Janardhanan mentioned that the capture of these six gang members has revealed multiple criminal activities. The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Ganesh Gupta, Sagar Kumar Mallah (alias Bittu), Rajesh Kumar Badhawan, Ajay Kumar Singh, Priyesh Singh, and Karan Singh.

"They were on the verge of executing a significant crime. The SIT apprehended them during operations near Kenduadih, Katras, and the Dhanbad bus stand," he stated.

During questioning, the apprehended gang members admitted to their participation in various recent criminal activities, including targeting cement businessman Chetan Mahato in the Barwa Adda police station area, a shooting incident at Tetulmari railway siding, and the shooting of a worker at the marshalling yard in the Baliapur police station area.

Gupta, reportedly the closest aide of Prince Khan, has played a crucial role in the gang's operations. Following Khan's directives, he has been guiding other members regarding extortion targets and weapon procurements.

The gang has recently demanded extortion payments amounting to lakhs from 25 doctors in Dhanbad under Prince Khan’s name, threatening serious repercussions for non-compliance. Disturbed by these threats, several doctors, accompanied by Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha and Nirsa MLA Arup Chatterjee, approached Chief Minister Hemant Soren for intervention.

In a twist, Prince Khan released an audio message denying his involvement in the threats after media coverage of the situation emerged.
