A substantial influx of devotees is arriving at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj to partake in a holy dip during the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya amid the ongoing Mahakumbh Fair. The Sangam, the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati Rivers, is of great religious importance, and Mauni Amavasya is a significant time for a holy dip.

Trains and buses heading to Prayagraj are facing unprecedented crowds as devotees from all over the country journey to partake in the sacred rites.

Overcrowding at railway stations and bus terminals has led to delays, with passengers finding it challenging to secure space. Mauni Amavasya is a spiritually significant day in Hindu customs, believed to cleanse sins and facilitate salvation when one bathes in the holy Sangam on this day.
