Former Union minister Smriti Irani on Sunday, 10 May paid a courtesy visit to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his Lucknow office, where the two held discussions on women empowerment, entrepreneurship initiatives, and development projects in Amethi — Irani's erstwhile Lok Sabha constituency. The meeting underscores Irani's continued engagement with Amethi's developmental agenda even after her electoral exit from the seat.

Following the meeting, Irani shared details on social media, describing it as a meaningful exchange. "Paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Chief Minister Shri @myogiadityanathji, who is dedicated to transforming Uttar Pradesh into an excellent province," she wrote.

She added: "During this time, there was a meaningful discussion on topics related to my tenure in Amethi, the development that has taken place in the state, basic infrastructure works, as well as women's empowerment and initiatives connected to entrepreneurship for women's strength."

Other Visitors at the CM's Office

Chief Minister Adityanath received several other officials and political colleagues at his Lucknow office on the same day. According to statements from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Kanpur Dehat District Magistrate Kapil Singh briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of development projects in the district and sought guidance.

Cabinet Minister of the Uttar Pradesh government Dara Singh Chauhan also paid a courtesy visit, as did Brijesh Singh 'Prinsu', a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. Shrikala Dhananjay Singh, the District Panchayat President of Jaunpur district, was also present on that occasion. Additionally, Jai Pratap Singh, the MLA from Bansi Assembly Constituency in Siddharthnagar district, called on the Chief Minister.
