Bengaluru, Jan 23 (NationPress) Richard Chen, Director General (DG) of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in Chennai, expressed that Taiwan is honored to be a reliable partner of India and is committed to the Make in India initiative.

During a media briefing at IMTEX 2025, a premier global machine tool exhibition in Bengaluru, Richard Chen mentioned: “India’s manufacturing industry stands as a global frontrunner in machinery, automotive, and defense, experiencing a remarkable evolution with Industry 4.0 and IoT. Taiwan is privileged to be a trustworthy ally in this journey, providing advanced automation and machine tool solutions that boost efficiency and support the ‘Make in India’ initiative.”

“At IMTEX 2025, we are presenting state-of-the-art products from esteemed Taiwanese brands, aimed at empowering Indian manufacturers. Together, Taiwan and India envision progress through innovation, spearheading advancements in machinery and automation for a brighter future,” he added.

He noted that the technologies displayed are meticulously crafted to cater to the changing requirements of India’s manufacturing landscape.

“They provide solutions for improved precision, automation, and sustainability, which are essential for the sector's growth. By supplying cutting-edge equipment and solutions, we aim to enable Indian manufacturers to excel on a global level, nurturing a shared vision of innovation and economic advancement,” Richard Chan remarked.

“Our objective is to reinforce our position as a global innovator, cultivate meaningful alliances with Indian manufacturers, and contribute to the expansion of the Indian manufacturing sector. By introducing transformative machine tool technologies, we aspire to ignite a new chapter of industrial excellence and collaboration between Taiwan and India,” he said.

M. G. Balakrishna, President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), stated that industry associations like FKCCI are eager to partner with initiatives such as Taiwan Excellence to facilitate knowledge sharing, promote joint ventures, and create opportunities that foster industrial growth and innovation in India.

“The innovative tools revealed today will assist Indian firms in enhancing their operational efficiency, improving product quality, and embracing sustainable practices, thereby enabling them to remain competitive in a fast-evolving global market,” Balakrishna added.
