New Delhi, Feb 23 (NationPress) Taiwan's Delta Electronics is set to invest $500 million in India as part of its growth strategy aligned with the 'Make in India' initiative.
This financial commitment, initially revealed in 2015, aims to bolster the company's market presence in India, as stated by the firm.
A significant portion of this funding will be directed towards enhancing Delta's facility in Krishnagiri, situated approximately 90 km from Bengaluru.
The Krishnagiri site is pivotal in producing solutions for the electric mobility industry, including advanced fast EV charging infrastructure.
Additionally, it manufactures solutions for the telecom sector such as direct current converters and rectifiers, as well as technologies aimed at decreasing power consumption in data centres.
During his speech at 'Elecrama 2025' in Greater Noida, an event hosted by the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA), Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, emphasized the company’s commitment to India.
He remarked that India is a vital market for Delta, and the enterprise is devoted to aiding the nation’s industrial and energy transformation with its innovative solutions.
Lin affirmed, "Our strategic investment in the Krishnagiri facility highlights our commitment to local innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainability."
He further noted that the company’s initiatives in India are geared towards enhancing smart manufacturing and energy infrastructure, while maintaining high industry standards globally.
"The company aims to operationalize part of this expansion by the conclusion of 2025," Lin stated.
At the event, the firm unveiled its 240kW direct current fast EV charger, developed by its R&D and engineering teams within India.
This charger, tailored for commercial applications, fleet operators, and public charging networks, boasts 95 percent efficiency and accommodates both wired and 4G GSM connectivity.
Delta Electronics also presented its latest innovations, including sophisticated automation solutions for industrial applications.
Among these was the D-Bot series, a collection of collaborative robots engineered to enhance automation in smart factories.
These robots feature advanced safety mechanisms that enable them to detect contact and immediately reverse movement to avert accidents, ensuring safety for human interaction.
