Ahmedabad, Nov 22 (NationPress) The Surat International Textile Expo (SITEX) 2025 has launched numerous technological breakthroughs aimed at transforming the textiles industry in Gujarat. Kicking off on Saturday, this three-day event has garnered over 15,000 registrations and is set to feature more than 70 exhibitors showcasing state-of-the-art machinery and technology.
The highlight of the exhibition is the glass fibre machine, a pioneering piece of equipment capable of fabricating textiles for applications in electrical circuits, automotive parts, construction, and railways.
Organizers assert that this industrial glass fibre machinery signifies a transformative leap in the sector, poised to revolutionize the production of versatile textiles.
Yogesh Sutaria, Managing Director of Weben Machinery, remarked, "This marks the first introduction of the glass-fibre machine in India, suitable for various applications, including electrical circuits, automotive components, construction materials, and railway tracks..."
Nikhil Madrasi, chief of the Southern Gujarat Chambers of Commerce (SGCCI), emphasized that this event represents a significant milestone for the nation's technical textiles sector.

With participation from around 71 companies globally and an expected total of 30,000 visitors, the SITEX is positioned for remarkable success and is anticipated to generate an estimated turnover of Rs 1,000 crore, boosting Surat's economic landscape."
In addition to the groundbreaking textile machinery, SITEX 2025 will also feature a wide array of high-tech machines, such as water jet machines, air jet machines, digital printing machines, needle machines, and other modern equipment.
