Chennai, March 5 (NationPress) On Thursday, four candidates representing prominent political parties submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming biennial Rajya Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu, aimed at filling six seats that will become vacant next month.
Among those who filed their nominations at the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat in Chennai are DMK leaders Tiruchi Siva and J. Constandine Ravindran, AIADMK's M. Thambi Durai, and Anbumani Ramadoss, the president of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK).
The candidates presented their applications to the appointed Returning Officer.
Tiruchi Siva's nomination was filed with the presence of DMK's president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, along with senior party member T.R. Baalu, CPI(M) leader P. Shanmugam, and VCK leader S.S. Balaji.
