Mumbai, Sep 5 (NationPress) Tata Motors has officially declared that it will transfer the full advantage of the recent GST reduction on passenger vehicles directly to its customers.
The revised prices will take effect from September 22, coinciding with the enforcement of the updated GST rates.
"The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles, effective on September 22, represents a forward-thinking and timely action that will enhance personal mobility accessibility for millions throughout India," stated the company in its announcement.
Shailesh Chandra, the Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, emphasized that this GST reduction is a significant and timely initiative aimed at making personal mobility more economical for millions of individuals in India.
He assured that the company will completely support the government’s intentions by ensuring that customers receive the full benefits of the tax reduction.
"Aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision, the Finance Minister’s objectives, and our Customer First philosophy, Tata Motors will wholeheartedly respect the intent and spirit of this reform by passing on the complete benefits of the GST reduction to our customers," Chandra remarked.
"This will render our well-loved range of cars and SUVs more accessible across various segments, facilitating first-time buyers and propelling the transition towards contemporary mobility for a broader customer base," he added.
As a result of this initiative, Tata’s favored cars and SUVs will see substantial price drops. Depending on the model, customers can save anywhere from Rs 65,000 to Rs 1.55 lakh.
The Tiago’s price will decrease by up to Rs 75,000, while the Tigor will be priced lower by as much as Rs 80,000, as per the company's statement.
The Altroz will experience a reduction of up to Rs 1.10 lakh, the Punch by up to Rs 85,000, and the Nexon, which is the company’s best-selling SUV, will see a price drop of up to Rs 1.55 lakh.
The newly launched Curvv will also benefit from a price cut of up to Rs 65,000. Among the larger SUVs, the Harrier will decrease by up to Rs 1.40 lakh and the Safari by up to Rs 1.45 lakh.
Tata Motors anticipates robust demand during the forthcoming festive season and encourages customers to place their vehicle orders promptly to guarantee timely delivery.
