New Delhi, Sep 7 (NationPress) Tata Motors has officially declared its intention to transfer the full benefits of the recent GST rate reduction to its commercial vehicle clientele. The new pricing structure will take effect from September 22, coinciding with the implementation of the updated GST rates.
According to a company statement, Tata Motors will extend the complete GST reduction across its entire lineup of commercial vehicles starting September 22, when the revised GST rates are enacted.
The reductions will vary by vehicle category, with heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) experiencing cuts between Rs 2.8 lakh and Rs 4.65 lakh.
Intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicles (ILMCVs) will see price discounts ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.
Buses and vans will receive reductions between Rs 1.2 lakh and Rs 4.35 lakh. Additionally, small commercial passenger vehicles (SCVs) will have their prices lowered by Rs 52,000 to Rs 66,000, while SCVs and pickups will become cheaper by Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.1 lakh.
Tata Motors noted that the GST on commercial vehicles has been decreased to 18 percent, a strategic move aimed at revitalizing India’s transport and logistics sector.
Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, remarked that this decision underscores the government’s commitment to reinforcing the country’s economic framework.
