New Delhi, Oct 22 (NationPress) Congress MP Tariq Anwar publicly endorsed RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s recent welfare initiatives, especially those aimed at providing financial support for women and backing for JEEViKA didis.
Following Tejashwi's press briefing, Anwar remarked that these programs embody the united dedication of the INDIA bloc to elevate the most disadvantaged segments of society.
“Tejashwi Yadav has aptly pointed out that the decision stemmed from the INDI Alliance, announcing an interest-free financial aid of Rs 25,000 per month for women. A structured plan has been devised, and a substantial number of women have already gained from this,” Anwar expressed.
He added that such announcements are typically a routine aspect of election campaigning, generated after collaborative discussions within the alliance.
“It’s standard for every party or coalition to unveil certain declarations during their campaigns. The announcements made have the agreement of the entire alliance, and all members will work together for its implementation soon,” he emphasized, highlighting the cohesive position of the INDIA bloc.
In light of Tejashwi Yadav’s commitment to enhance support for JEEViKA didis, women linked to the state’s self-help groups, Anwar reaffirmed the significance of empowering grassroots workers.
“They genuinely require this backing. We believe that those laboring at the grassroots level, directly engaging with the impoverished and in remote regions, must receive support. If the government is capable of assisting them, it ought to do so,” he asserted.
During his press briefing, Tejashwi Yadav unveiled a variety of welfare measures intended for women, including a Rs 25,000 monthly assistance program and increased support for JEEViKA workers, which he pledged to implement if the Mahagathbandhan secures power.
With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching on November 6 and 11, and results due on November 14, both alliances are intensifying their efforts to influence public sentiment through their pledges and narratives.
