Hyderabad, Dec 2 (NationPress) The BJP in Telangana has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of disrespecting Hindus and Hindu deities, leading to a call for statewide demonstrations on Wednesday.

BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao has urged BJP supporters and the Hindu community to join the protests.

He asserted that by using offensive language towards Hindu deities and making inappropriate comments about Hindu society, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has revealed his animosity towards Hindus.

The BJP leaders reacted strongly to the remarks made by the Chief Minister during a meeting of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) executive on Tuesday.

“How many gods do Hindus worship? Three crore? Why so many? There is one god for the unmarried, another for those who wish to remarry, another for those who drink alcohol. There are Yellamma, Pochamma, and Maisamma for those who indulge in Toddy and sacrifice a chicken. There’s even a god for those who consume dal,” the Chief Minister stated.

State BJP president highlighted that the Congress party has a history of mocking Hinduism, from propagating the myth of “Hindu terror” to ridiculing Hindu deities.

“Rahul Gandhi has claimed Hindu groups pose a greater threat than Islamic terrorists. Revanth is merely perpetuating that legacy. He embodies the traits of the MMC — Muslim League Maoist Congress, as PM Modi aptly puts it. A Congress member would never dare to question traditions of other communities… Yet, they are always quick to mock Hindus,” Ramchander Rao posted on X.

Union Minister for Coal G. Kishan Reddy condemned the Chief Minister’s statements, remarking, “It is shameful that Revanth Reddy, being a Hindu, made such remarks about Hindus and their deities. Even during the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign, he claimed that Congress represents Muslims and Muslims represent Congress,” he stated.

The BJP leader speculated that Revanth Reddy’s derogatory language about Hindus and deities might stem from his association with the MIM.

“It’s time for all Hindus in Telangana to unite; it’s time to demonstrate the strength of Hindus to Revanth Reddy and the entire Congress party,” he emphasized.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar noted that the Chief Minister’s comments laid bare the Congress party’s contempt for Hindus and Hindu deities.

“We strongly denounce the comments made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that insult Hindus and their deities. The Congress has consistently submitted to AIMIM. Revanth Reddy himself declared that Congress is a Muslim party – that statement alone reveals their mentality. Congress harbors profound animosity towards Hindus,” the BJP leader asserted.

“The BRS has also repeatedly belittled Hindu gods and culture. This is precisely why we cautioned during the Jubilee Hills by-election that if Congress or BRS won, Hindus would struggle to step out with dignity. The CM’s recent comments confirm that the BJP was right. The animosity Congress harbors towards Hindus and their deities is now glaringly evident. It’s time for the Hindu community to reflect seriously. Will you remain fragmented and continue to face humiliation, or will you unite and assert your strength?” he asked.
