CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that the Gandhi Sarovar Project is a vital element of the state's comprehensive Musi River Rejuvenation Project, designed for ecological restoration and sustainable development.
He also shared the vision to transform Bapu Ghat into a world-class educational, cultural, spiritual, and environmental site, embodying the values and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Defence Minister expressed appreciation for the initiative and the efforts of the state government, as reported by the CMO.
Congress MPs Mallu Ravi, Kadiyam Kavya, Anil Kumar Yadav, and Vamsi Gaddam accompanied the Chief Minister during the meeting.
In a prior meeting with the Defence Minister last September, Revanth Reddy had urged him to facilitate the transfer of 98.20 acres of defence land for the Gandhi Sarovar Project.
The Chief Minister updated the Defence Minister on the state's plans to establish the Gandhi Circle of Unity at the confluence of the Musi and Esa rivers.
Revanth Reddy asserted that the Gandhi Sarovar Project would serve as a lasting symbol of national unity and the enduring principles of Mahatma Gandhi.
