Hyderabad, Jan 17 (NationPress) Young India Skill University of Telangana has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to enhance skill development initiatives.

The MoU was formalized on Friday, in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and members of the state government delegation during their inaugural day in Singapore.

As per the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation commenced their visit by engaging in discussions with ITE officials. The delegation toured the ITE campus, examining the advanced facilities and skill development programs available.

The Chief Minister’s team interacted with specialists across approximately 20 disciplines and academic staff dedicated to training in the renowned institute. They sought ITE's collaboration in support of the Young India Skill University, located in the Fourth City of Hyderabad.

During discussions, the Chief Minister outlined the objectives behind establishing the Young India Skill University. D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronic & Commerce, and Industries, presented an overview of the courses offered by the Skill University, aimed at equipping the youth with market-relevant skills.

He proposed a collaborative effort between the two institutions for skill enhancement, to which the ITE team responded favorably, expressing their willingness to partner with the Skill University.

Sridhar Babu expressed optimism that this alliance would facilitate enduring partnerships in sectors such as infrastructure development, renewable energy, sustainable initiatives, tourism, education, and skill building.

Following extensive discussions, the two parties signed the MoU. The signatories included Parwinder Singh, Deputy Director of Academic and Admin Services, ITE, Fabian Cheong, Deputy Director of ITE Education Services (ITEES), and V.L.V.S.S. Subba Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Young India Skill University. The ITE delegation is expected to visit Hyderabad shortly.

The Telangana delegation also comprised Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Industries, Vishnuvardhan, MD of Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC), and Ajit Reddy, Chief Minister’s Special Secretary.
