Chennai, July 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, is set to introduce a pioneering health initiative named 'Nalam Kaakkum Stalin' on August 2 at St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School located in Mylapore, Chennai, as confirmed by government officials on Monday.

The State Health Minister, Ma. Subramanian, oversaw the preparations at the event location, emphasizing that this scheme is a significant advancement in enhancing public health accessibility throughout the state.

"This initiative aims to provide comprehensive health check-ups directly to communities, removing the necessity for expensive full-body medical assessments at hospitals," he stated to the press.

The program will deliver a variety of medical services via specially organized health camps throughout Tamil Nadu.

Services will encompass general medical consultations, surgical procedures, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, cardiology, neurology, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, ENT, psychiatry, pulmonary medicine, and traditional Indian medical practices.

A pivotal aspect of this scheme is its inclusivity.

It will pay special attention to individuals with disabilities, who will be evaluated at these camps.

Medical experts will assess the level of disability, and official disability certificates will be provided accordingly, as stated by the government.

Throughout the next year, a total of 1,164 health camps will be conducted under the 'Nalam Kaakkum Stalin' scheme across Tamil Nadu.

Each camp is strategically designed to engage local communities, particularly in regions where access to quality healthcare is limited.

Minister Subramanian remarked, "This scheme marks another vital achievement in our ongoing mission to deliver healthcare directly to every citizen's doorstep."

He added that the initiative would greatly enhance the reach of the state government's existing health initiatives and improve the early detection and treatment of various health conditions.

The launch event is anticipated to attract participation from senior government officials, healthcare professionals, and members of the community.

The Health Department has instructed local agencies and medical teams to guarantee smooth execution of the scheme across different districts.

With this ambitious health initiative, the DMK government seeks to strengthen its dedication to public healthcare and welfare, providing essential medical services to individuals from all backgrounds.
