Heavy vehicles and buses traveling from Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur will not be permitted to enter the city via Avinashi Road at the Airport junction (SITRA). Instead, these vehicles are instructed to divert at Neelambur and utilize the L&T bypass, passing through Chinthamanipudur junction, Ondipudur, and Singanallur.
Outbound buses and heavy vehicles must take a detour at Lakshmi Mills junction, proceeding through Puliakulam to reach Tiruchi Road, and continue via Ramanathapuram, Singanallur, and the L&T bypass.
Light motor vehicles entering from Neelambur should take a right turn at Thottipalayam junction and travel through Thottipalayam, Kaikolapalayam, Kalapatti junction, and Vilankurichi.
Vehicles exiting the city via Avinashi Road must perform a U-turn at Tidel Park junction and follow Kamarajar Road, Singanallur, Ondipudur, and the L&T bypass.
Strict restrictions have also been enforced at Coimbatore International Airport. All vehicle entries to the airport will be banned from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. to ensure the safety of VVIPs, including the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and the Union Home Minister.
During this timeframe, private vehicles and taxis will not be permitted to approach the terminal entrance.
Passengers with flights scheduled between 4 P.M. and 8 P.M. are advised to arrive at the airport before 4 P.M.
Those arriving later must disembark at Airport junction and proceed on foot to the terminal. Additionally, parking for taxis and other vehicles within the airport premises has been prohibited on Saturday.
The police have requested that residents plan their travels accordingly and collaborate with authorities to maintain smooth traffic flow and security during the Prime Minister's visit.
