Bhopal, April 28 (NationPress) In a tragic road incident, four young individuals tragically lost their lives when the vehicle they were in collided with the back of an unidentified vehicle during the early hours of Monday in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district.
This unfortunate event took place near the Prince Hotel in Balgaondi village, within the jurisdiction of the Tirla police station.
According to police reports, it is likely that all four victims perished on impact. The individuals were later recognized as Prakash Bhuria (35) from Ratlam, Raja (30) from Jhabua, Rahul (23) from Phulgaondi, and Dilip (24) from Rajgarh.
A relative confirmed their identities after being contacted via mobile phone, explaining that they were on their way to a mass-marriage ceremony.
Authorities suspect that the car was traveling at an extremely high speed when it collided. The investigating officer remarked that it remains uncertain if the vehicle it hit was stationary or in motion. The car was left in a state of severe damage, and it took several hours to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage.
Initial investigations suggest that the car departed Jhabua around 10 p.m. the previous night, heading towards Dhar for the wedding.
The accident occurred on the Indore-Ahmedabad four-lane highway, leaving investigators puzzled about the cause. Officials indicated that more details would come to light following a comprehensive investigation and post-mortem examinations.
The police commented, “The force of the collision was catastrophic, completely destroying the vehicle. Although the airbags deployed as expected, they were ineffective at protecting the passengers.”
The horrific nature of the incident was highlighted by one victim who was thrown from the back seat and ended up lodged in the car's windshield. The Tirla police responded to a local citizen’s call and managed to extract the victims from the wreck.
After significant effort, the remains were transported to Dhar District Hospital for post-mortem evaluations.
On the previous day, another tragic accident in Mandsaur district resulted in the deaths of 12 individuals when their vehicle plunged into a roadside well after colliding with a motorcycle. Among the deceased were the motorcycle rider and a local resident who attempted to rescue four people from the well before losing consciousness.
