Bhopal, July 14 (NationPress) In a heart-wrenching incident, four individuals from Rajasthan tragically lost their lives in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh after their SUV veered off the road while attempting to avoid a cow and subsequently crashed into a tree.
The accident unfolded around 11:30 pm on Sunday in the Kali Talai area during heavy rainfall when the driver of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) tried to avert hitting a cow that was on the road.
This sudden action resulted in the vehicle swerving off the road, plunging into a roadside ditch, and colliding with a tree. All four passengers perished instantly, among them three family members.
The victims have been identified as Hariram Yadav (60), his son Mukesh Yadav (28), and their relative Vijendra Jat (23). The fourth individual was Haba Singh Gurjar.
As reported by police, the cow also lost its life in this unfortunate event. The vehicle sustained extensive damage, and the crash was fatal for all aboard, a police official stated.
It was noted that the accident occurred as the driver attempted to save the cow. The vehicle lost its grip and struck a tree with immense force.
The group had left Ashoknagar around 8 p.m. on Sunday, heading back to their hometown in Kotputli, Rajasthan, according to police.
Krishna Kumar Yadav, a relative who arrived in Sheopur after hearing about the accident, informed police that the family was returning home for personal reasons after working in Ashoknagar.
Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the crash but found the passengers unresponsive. The deceased were later transported to Sheopur District Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are working with the families of the victims to complete necessary formalities. This tragic event has cast a shadow over the community, emphasizing the hazards associated with reduced visibility and unforeseen obstacles during monsoon travel.
