Tragic Murders in Meerut: Family Found Dead, Children Concealed

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 10 (NationPress) In a shocking incident, a couple and their three daughters were discovered deceased at their home in the Lisadi Gate Police Station area. The couple's bodies were found on the floor, while the bodies of their three daughters, all young girls, were hidden in a bed box, pointing to foul play and an effort to conceal the crime.
According to Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada, the police received a call regarding a locked residence in the Lisadi Gate Police Station area late on Thursday night.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police team found that the house had been secured from the outside, SSP Vipin Tada stated during a press briefing at the crime scene.
"After gaining entry through the roof, the police team discovered the bodies of Moin, his wife Asma, and their three young daughters -- Afsa (8), Aziza (4), and Adiba (1)," SSP Tada informed reporters.
"The way the house was locked from outside suggests that the perpetrator may have been familiar with the family," he noted.
"Initial investigations indicate that an old feud could be the motive behind this tragic event. A thorough inquiry is currently in progress," the SSP added.
Providing more details, he mentioned that one of the deceased's legs was found bound with a bedsheet, and the children were discovered concealed in a bed box.
A forensic team along with senior officials is gathering evidence from the scene, police reported.
Residents in the area expressed their disbelief over the crime, as the family had recently settled there.
The SSP confirmed that they were examining the backgrounds of the deceased couple to uncover the motive for the murders.
Moin, a mechanic by trade, and his wife Asma had lost contact with their family since Wednesday, prompting Moin's brother Salim and his wife to check on them after several unsuccessful attempts to reach out.
After multiple failed attempts to open the door, they contacted the police for assistance.
Upon entering the residence, they discovered the bodies of Moin and Asma on the floor, while the remains of their children were hidden in a bed box.
