Meerut, Jan 25 (NationPress) Naeem Baba, a notorious criminal with a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head, was eliminated during an early morning encounter with police in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, early on Saturday.

He had been evading capture for ten days after the horrific slaying of five family members.

Naeem was the principal suspect in the January 9 murder of mason Moin, his spouse, and their three daughters in Sohail Garden, situated in the Lisadi Gate area of Meerut. Police engaged and fatally shot him around 3:45 A.M. in the same vicinity.

Discussing the encounter, Meerut SSP Vipin Tada informed IANS, "Naeem, the main accused in the dreadful murder of a family of five in Lisadi Gate, was shot down during an encounter with the police.
