Overwhelmed with grief, he added, “I have lost my daughter. I am uncertain about what transpired as I lack technical knowledge about such occurrences. I am utterly devastated.”
Shivkumar Mali, consumed by sorrow, mentioned that he was not seeking any explanations at this time.
“I just want my daughter’s body so I can honor her with a dignified farewell. That is all I desire,” he stated.
Meanwhile, a team from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has departed from Delhi to Pune to probe the tragic Baramati plane crash, which claimed the lives of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others.
The investigation team will proceed to Baramati upon arriving in Pune to commence their inquiry into the heartbreaking incident.
According to flight details, five individuals, including Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, perished in the Baramati plane crash on Wednesday morning.
Alongside Deputy CM Pawar, the individuals aboard the Learjet 45 aircraft (registration VT-SSK), operated by VSR, included a personal security officer (PSO), Vidip Jadhav; flight attendant Pinky Mali; and two crew members—Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Sumit Kapur and Second-in-Command (SIC) Shambhavi Pathak.
Emergency response teams and senior security officials have arrived at the crash site in Baramati. Rescue teams were deployed promptly after the aircraft lost control during landing.

Additionally, reports indicate that Ajit Pawar was identified by the watch he was wearing at the time of the tragic accident.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Police confirmed on Wednesday that the Baramati plane crash involving Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is under meticulous investigation to ascertain the cause of the incident.
“The wreckage’s location and condition will be rigorously examined and documented to determine the aircraft's speed and angle of impact,” police officials stated.
They further noted that the black box will be analyzed to assess the aircraft's technical condition during the flight and whether it was airworthy.
“The cockpit voice recording will shed light on the pilots’ discussions and decisions during the final moments,” officials added, emphasizing that all maintenance records for the aircraft will also be scrutinized.
