A head-on collision transpired between a pickup van, which was transporting a wedding procession, and another vehicle loaded with a DJ sound system near Basdev Tiranga village, resulting in the deaths of four children and injuries to 11 others.

According to police reports, the wedding procession was for Shivnath Singh Chero's son, from Pasia Chunka village under the Manatu police station, en route to Bohita village in Leslieganj block.

Local residents rushed to assist after hearing the screams. Police arrived shortly thereafter and transported the injured to the Tarhasi health centre.

After receiving initial medical attention, all were subsequently referred to Medini Rai Medical College Hospital in Medininagar, where two additional children succumbed to their injuries.
