Tributes Paid to Guru Gobind Singh on His Parkash Utsav by PM Modi and Others

New Delhi/Chandigarh, Jan 6 (NationPress) On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the 10th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh, during his Parkash Utsav. The Prime Minister remarked, “Guru Gobind Singh-ji was a warrior, poet, and a spiritual guide who stood against injustice, casteism, and inequality. His establishment of the Khalsa Panth and his ultimate sacrifice for humanity continue to motivate the principles of courage, peace, and justice in India.”
“I bow before Sri Guru Gobind Singh-ji on his Prakash Utsav. His teachings inspire us to cultivate a society that is progressive, prosperous, and compassionate,” PM Modi shared on X.
Born in Patna Sahib in 1666, Guru Gobind Singh was the founder of the Khalsa Panth. Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, in a message on this auspicious Gurpurab, urged the community to recommit to the ideals and aspirations set forth by the revered Guru, aiming to foster a society grounded in humanism and secularism.
The Governor emphasized that Guru Gobind Singh, known as a saint soldier, epitomized the principles of truth, righteousness, and universal brotherhood. He was a formidable warrior who launched a campaign against social injustice and the tyranny of his era.
Guru Gobind Singh, who made the ultimate sacrifice of his four sons, father, and mother to uphold human and secular values, is truly exceptional in history.
He called for the community to unite in their efforts to create a healthy and harmonious society by embracing the invaluable legacy of the tenth Guru and celebrating this occasion without regard to caste, creed, or religion.
In a message for the Parkash Purab of the 10th Sikh Guru, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann noted that Guru Gobind Singh dedicated his life to preaching and practicing the principles of love, unity of mankind, and universal brotherhood.
