“Guru-ji demonstrated that one must never compromise on principles, even at the cost of their life, and that self-respect and moral courage are timeless,” he remarked.
CM Saini noted that the college's foundation day is a celebration of a legacy of thought, tradition, and consciousness that has kept the soul of India alive for centuries.
Founded in 1966 in honor of Guru Gobind Singh, the institution aims to instill values of sacrifice, courage, service, and humanity in its students, which embody the essence of the college.
He emphasized the critical role of educators, stating that teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also mentor students in ethics and cultural values, upholding the esteemed ‘Guru-Shishya’ tradition.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Guru Gobind Singh College has played a pivotal role in character development, nation-building, and human development, producing notable alumni who have excelled in various fields.
He reiterated the commitment of the Haryana government to ensure quality education, impart moral values, and provide equal employment opportunities to every youth in the state.
Numerous initiatives have been launched in education, skill development, startups, sports, and employment to open new pathways for the youth.
He mentioned the establishment of the Haryana State Research Fund to bolster higher education and research, which has received over 360 project proposals to date.
