Union Home Minister Amit Shah noted that Ambedkar established the robust framework of Indian democracy by drafting a Constitution that guarantees equal rights and opportunities for every segment of society.
He stated, "Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Ji laid the essential foundations of our democracy, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all. He firmly opposed Article 370 for the integrity of the nation. His teachings on the importance of education and organization remind us that when our resolve is for the nation's service, no obstacle is insurmountable."
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised Ambedkar as a prominent social reformer and essential architect of modern India, highlighting his lifetime dedication to securing equality and justice for the underprivileged.
"Babasaheb devoted his entire existence to promoting equality and harmony. His life was a testament to securing equal rights for marginalized communities. He was also a profound thinker and the architect behind many institutions of our nation. Despite severe challenges, he achieved remarkable feats and made a lasting impact on nation-building," he added.
